Description I Built this in lightwave a while back and decided to render it with a radiosity HDRI environment. I'm still working at fully rigging it so I can animate it and get it to do what I want. Let me know what you think!

not sure if this is a robot or a full exo-suit.

Very interesting design. Maybe a few versions in other colors with other markings???

A nice one, has a quite big animation potential What I would do with it is play around with the textures and make them a bit rusty

Greetz!

An intriguing model with a nice, smooth design. And it also has a great balance to it.

nice render, have u put a gradient in the reflection channel?? it would be great...love the design, but agree with Sly, some dirt and scratch could be improve the mechanical render
Do u plan to rig it with bones, or with the help of sock-monkey? robot rig with bones is always a challenge

keep updating

Nope haven't tried the gradiant in the reflection. I already have the legs set up with IK but the nice thing about lightwave is ya dont need bones unless you are actualy deforming bending something. I just have the parts parented together with the proper pivot points. I'll have to try adding a little wear and tear.

ok, i used the same set up for my own 2 robots, mine are a bit more oldschool, u can see them here :

about the gradient, try it in the reflection channel in incidence angle, u will see it's grat for photorealism reflection

the model is great !
maybe some dirt on it, to make it more real ? it looks a bit to "new", like coming out from the box of the toy shop
excellent nonetheless

Looks kickass, I love the chome effect, and those engines are crying out. Good luck with the animation.
