it will get better with time - but you should really give a trail to oil color. you would like it, i guess... i did my first one and for me it was also a bit awkward compared to acrylics. will be posting it soon even if i think that something in the painting is still missing...

Good luck with that, look forward to seeing it when it is finished. Lets face it oils can't be any messier, I'm covered in paint I think I'm painting like a pencil drawer so yes it does seem to be a little awkward at the moment. There's some good tutorials on youtube so I think i'll check some out.

yes, you cant avoid some mess with acrylics - there is always a bit of cleaning and rubbing

was auf dem foto nicht so richtig rauskommt ist die mitte des werkes weil ich hier mit silber gearbeitet habe. ich überlege noch eine version mit blitzlicht fotofrafiert reinzustellen...

Aha. Etwas mit Silberfarbe zu fotografieren ist sehr schwierig- ohne Blitzlicht sieht es auf dem Foto nur grau aus und mit Blitzlicht reflektiert es zu stark. Einfach mal verschiedene Lichtverhältnissse/-einfälle ausprobieren- oder vielleicht kennst du ja einen professionellen Fotografen?
