No offense to you meant by saying this, but it really doesn't work like that. I have depression as well, so I know this from experience as well as articles I've read - depression's not something whose "butt" you can just "kick." It's not something you can just get over by telling yourself that you're going to be happy. It's a serious mental disorder that requires medication and/or therapy. Some days, depressed people can cope, but other days it's all they can do just to find the strength to get out of bed and deal with life.
