Whistlingtooth sat calmly just outside of his clan's camp, his multiple colored eyes looking up at the sky in contentment, it had been snowing for days practically. His fur was fluffed out as he blinked against the wind that was lazy yet frigid; making his eyes water. He let out a long sigh, a faint whistle coming out of his mouth as he did. He smiled at the familiar noise and looked down at his paws as he leaned back up, he was up to his shins in snow. He'd gotten use to the cold but the amount of snow they had all been getting though was completely ridiculous.

He patted at the snow before stopping, the ice was cracking faintly, some parts already falling through; the water beneath it rising about the ice and spilling over it. He watched with a perplexed look, he could feel the water churning beneath the ice under his paws. His senses snapped back into focus as they moved him off the ice, most of it cracking and breaking away. As soon as he stepped onto the hardened bed of land he could feel movement beneath his paws. It made him feel queer but also filled his gut with fear. His eyes widened as he heard other cracks and snow began tunneling down on him; making him yowl out in a panick.

The trees! The trees are falling!

He jumped out just as he saw a tree begin to lean down towards him. Had he not jumped; he would have been greeted by Starclan. He looked at the tree with an arched back and stiff tail before running back into his clan's camp, was everyone alright? What was that strange movement?! He had never witnessed anything so powerful and dangerous.

"Did anyone feel that?! Is everyone alright?!" He asked loudly as he reached the center of the clan's camp "Great Starclan! The dead trees in the forest fell and some of the ice on the stream broke away! What was that?" He hissed, looking around wildly with confusion.

Whistlingtooth turned towards his young apprentice and shook slightly, he could almost feel small tremors beneath his feeat. But perhaps they were just his mind wandering with fright. He looked over at her and shrugged slightly, looking around still "I'm unsure of what just happened, Emberpaw. To be honest; i've never experienced something so odd." he looked back over to her with a slight frown of concern.
He looked her over, circling around her quietly "Are you alright?" he asked her quietly, looking around still. He'd always been protective over his apprentices after his first one had met StarClan far too early. He let out a small sigh and looked down at her, sitting next to her.

Whistlingtooth draped his tail over Emberpaw's back as comfort, his eyes looking down on her with concern "I was out there too, it seems like the oldest trees couldn't handle whatever happened..." he sighed and looked around, looking towards the sky with a concerned look "As for StarClan, it is best to wait until we know officially what happened. I doubt we are the ones at fault for this." He told his apprentice before shaking his fur slightly.

Had anyone been hurt? Where had it come from?

Whistlingtooth nodded slowly "I don't think anyone has before. And i bet you're right on everyone witnessing this." he spoke carefully, his eyes narrowing a little. What if there was more damage than the dead tree's falling? What if a clan was entirely wiped out? He sighed and looked down at Emberpaw "We wait until our Leader has anything to say about it. Or until someone comes up and tells us what happened. As for now; we should get something in our stomachs to calm our fleeting minds, Emberpaw." He walked towards the freshkill pile that he had stocked up a little this morning before the trembling earth caused him to flee.

He looked over at her "I have a feeling we will need our strength this leaf-bare as something like this may occur again." he sighed and motioned her over next to him, keeping an eye on her closely with concern.
