Description

Been a while since I've drawn TJ...so, here's chibi/kiddie TJ on a swing.

...yes, I know my skills with markers are bad.Ā  The tree doesn't really look like a tree, the grass didn't come out right, and the leaves...well okay, those didn't come out terribly (but they didn't come out great, either).

And the ropes are the wrong color because I didn't have the proper colors.

Same with TJ's hair; I had to go with that light brown-ish color instead of the dirty blond he's got because that was the closest color I had between "yellow" and "brown".

I do like the angle; I wanted to do something a little different than just a straightforward picture like I usually do, and this was the result.

I'm planning to draw something like this too. I love swings!

Cool!Ā

I've always loved swings, too.Ā  I'd always go on the swings at recess as a kid, and even as an adult I love them.Ā  Knowing I'm on the spectrum, I've recently wondered if it has anything to do with the back and forth "rocking" motion that swings have.

I'm autistic and the same, I'm pretty sure it's the same as when I do the rocking.

I actually do like your marker skills. Gives it a certain quality that I really do like.

Thank you!Ā  <3

Since I'm a noob at markers, I've just been going for "simple".Ā

And, I realized I definitely prefer my water-based markers over alcohol-based ones (plus, they don't smell as bad as the alcohol-based markers).Ā  XD

Sometimes simple is best. XD

And I know the feeling. Used to be that way when it came to colored pencils. I always used Crayola over anything else and LOATHED using others like RoseArt, etc.Ā

No shame in that as long as you like using them!Ā  I've seen people make amazing stuff out of the "lower end" brands (like Crayola).

I do have RoseArt colored pencils, but I honestly didn't care about the brand when I got them.Ā  XDĀ  They just had the best selection at the store where I found them.

Used to do a lot of traditional things, but since I don't have my scanner any more, trying to take a picture of it with a phone really does butcher the image more than it really should.

Oh, definitely.Ā  Last Inktober, I got all the color images onto the computer via taking pictures with my cellphone, and it definitely butchered them (especially the lighting; I tried everything and it still looked bad).
