for this shot i used pure daylight and made sure that the shutter speed was reasonable enough to eliminate any hand movement.

i was using a 105mm Macro. its enough to make u get close to them without scaring it. plus the dragon fly didnt really care i was getting close.i was doing it gradually so it doesnt fly away....
