A beautiful place indeed. Came there in 2004, we took a break in Lindesnes and then drove to Preikestolen...

we did the same and after the preikestolen we took a ride on the train at Flam (Flamsbana) and stayed a few days in the "valley of the waterfalls" a village called Lofthus. Than we went back driving through the inlands (is that a correct word?)the Telemark region. It was all very nice... bit rainy though... but hé without the rain there would be no beautiful nature. Although it would have been nice if the hike to the preikestolen was a little less rainy

I remember we caught some rainy periods too back then. E.g. at Lindesnes it was storming and raining heavily (which made for a unqiue atmsophere around the lighthouse and rocks with the waves and all.) At Preikestolen we had some luck when the sky cleared for a couple of hours. Besides, how did you travel?

Bad weather can be beautiful as well indeed especially the clouds.
We travelled by car

Agree. We travelled by car as well (also slept in the car), taking the route from Lindesnes to Oslo, checking out Preikestolen on the way.
