They are both the same Haseo so it doesn't matter. (game one and roots has same outfit for the most part. 1st Form Outfit) Since he has a semi-noob look it seems to be Roots in that respect.
Nice, it really looks like some art you'd have seen as a background on the game. I would have used this.
