These two. Wow.
After reading Kelly Creagh's Nevermore, i couldn't help but draw this. The book was so powerful, that i've read it more than twice and felt more sorrow and hope than i could ever imagine. I can't wait for the second book to come out, because right now i can't pull my eyes away from the first one. I can't help but relive each heavy, subtle moment between these two.

Anyway, these two figures are main characters from the book. Isobel Lanely, the heroine, before running off to try &save Brad (ex-boyfriend) from Varen Nethers' dream-figure of the Red Death, gives Varen her pink dress' sash. Having thought she was just another imaginary figure, he takes it from her and slowly realizes that it was really her. She promises she'll come back for him, using the sash as an excuse to return. However, after being promised that he's safe at home and given his jacket (which he rarely takes off), she destroys the link between the dreamworld and reality. The morning after she realizes that Varen is still in the dreamworld though, waiting for her to fufill her promise.

On that note, I'm planning on coloring or getting someone with an expertise use of photoshop to color this. I know that he has logos of his favorite bands pinned to the sleeves of his jacket but i didn't know the names nor logos of any besides Cemetary Sighs. So instead i just drew the upside-down raven on the back. I also didn't know what he was wearing underneath, and deciding that he was at least wearing the norm, drew a slight V-neck shirt. (Although i should have drawn something fancier than that since he wore this to the Grim Facade). I figured his bruises and lip would be healed by the time she got to him (HA! i remembered his lip ring >xD) and she wouldn't be wearing the pink dress. So here you go. During all this madness of trying to be accurate I was listening to Paramore's: Oh Star because I feel like it can really connect to the story and how Isobel's feeling. I was actually surprised when I searched them and found nothing.
Ahhh, I wish these two happiness and I hope she gives Reynolds what's coming to him. For all the crap Varen's had to go through, I hope he receives happiness in the next book.
