Ahmed a trouvé un petit chien d'environ deux jours et a décidé de l'offir à sa fille Hadil.Il l'allaitait au biberon à chaque jour et lui donnait un peu de fromage de temps en temps.
Je suis resté chez Ahmed & Boutaïna, la soeur de Mondher (voir l'histoire de Tunis ) pendant trois jours, à Ghardimaou.

Ahmed found a new born dog in the street. He offered it to his two years old girl, Hadil.
He gave it some milk and cheeze each day.
I stayed at Ahmed & Boutaïna, Mondher's sister (read about Mondher in Tunis ), three days, in Ghardimaou.

I feel really unsecure in black and white photography but I thought it gave some feelign to the picture. All constructive comment are welcome (like.. a LOT
)By the way, I dedicate this shot to Marjo who think I'm not posting enough people.

I would love to go back there. I miss those people so much... I have wrote back once, but never got any news... haven't wrote to them since. I should..but I'm so lazy. I feel bad when I think about that.

Non, je suis un ptit canadien qui habite au Québec. Je suis allé en Tunisie l'été 2003-2004 et j'ai été hebergé par la famille de l'oncle de Hadil que j'ai rencontré à Tunis.

i really like the sepia, it gives the feeling that it is like a memory of something totally unforgettable and truly priceless. I think it also makes it feel like...homely,...i don't know a word to call it.

I agree and disagree with Homy.
It is a very pretty shot. Nice even light captured and nothing distracts from the three. Very nice soft feeling to it.
They are looking at the camera but it certainly does not feel as if they are posing, the child looks to even be taken aback that someone is taking her picture. I love this innocene and the personal feeling you can feel from it and the family. Well done and a definite fav.

Thanks a lot. I thought to that they do not look like "posing" so I posted this picture instead of the one where Ahmed look at his girl. I though is look is so full of love, or compassion I don't know, it's like I could feel all the love he have for his girl in his eyes...

It's a very pretty shot.
The sepia really adds to the mood, though there is one thing wich in my opinion destroys the feeling a bit, is that they are both looking towards the camera.
I think that if atleast one of them placed his eyes upon the uppy feeding it, it would've come out very stronger.

Hehe funny you say that because I have another one where Ahmed is looking at his girl, but I though the way he look toward the camera is just so full of love, this one was better.
I'll try to show you the other picture (probably put it in my scrap) so you can tell me which one you prefer.

Définitivement une de mes préférées dans ta série de photos de Tunisie. (Bon ok, j'ai un faible pour les photos avec des humains... tu l'as deviné!)Les deux corps se détachent vraiment bien du fond blanchâtre. Et tu as fait un très bon choix en mettant la photo dans les tons de sépia... J'aurais sûrement fait de même, pour les mêmes raisons énumérées plus haut. Pour ce qui est du sujet, tu n'aurais pas pu mieux capturer la relation père-fille. C'est parfait à mes yeux! Je suis toute contente là!

This is so precious. Any insecurity you have about this picture is definitely not well-founded in my mind. It's beautifully emotional. The focus is wonderful, the tone creates mood and character, and the elements of it all are truly things anyone can relate to.
I would offer constructive criticism, but I don't think you need any with this piece. It's amazing.
