Description One of my favorite archers. Grace is what I'd like to call her. I remember when she was just a tot. She was learning the ropes and this past weekend, she performed excellent and was mentoring and encouraging the younger ones competing.

What can we learn from this? There can only be one "#1", but humility, honor, a remembrance of where we came from and our responsibility to others she definitely keep us from becoming arrogant.

Wow. I can't believe how much she's grown. Funny, I almost feel like I'm looking a picture of a distant family member or something. It's incredible that you get to watch her grow in this sport and I'm glad to hear she's one of the good-hearted ones.
Is that the same horse from before too? Looks familiar.

I have visited Mt.Osore and Lake Towada a long long time ago, and I don't remember much about Aomori.
Hope to visit there again sometime. Is Aomori your residence in Japan?

I live near Hachinohe. I like the area in the summer because there are many things to do outside. But I do miss Tokyo as there are so many photographers and things to take photos of. Unlike other parts of the world, you won't get in trouble for taking pictures in Japan.

I have some relatives living in Iwate Prefecture. Summer of 2010, before the disaster I visited there(near Ichinoseki). It was so beautiful. Fortunately after the disaster, there was no damage to their living.
I really hope things will get better for you, for your family and for everyone around Tohoku area.

It is back to normal here. Sakura are almost gone. In a few weeks, I'll go to Hirosaki to take photos of the grounds.

no, just a traditional festival. Japan values tradition and incorporates it into their daily lives.

as in a cheap one is around $4000-6000US. The average price for a real one is around $10,000. They're hand made and blades are folded around 10000 times over the course of the 6-8 months it takes for a master craftsman to make one.
