I re-watch that series in spurts. . .  David Simon has developed a knack for knowing how not to let a series go on too long.

not "even" ... especially!
they give it a contrast which is exactly right. not too much, not too little.

i never know who has made a series and i agree that tremé ended just at the right moment. i like the beginning/intro in particular - i have even used it in a lesson once.
so much to take in there - tragedy and the will to survive, to struggle on, mixed with those strangely beautiful images of moldy wallpapers. great!

Yes, I will be out of the office for a week after Christmas, so I know that during some of that time, when I'm not reading, exercising, or preparing for my busy-season when I return to work in January, I will watch more of the 1st season of Treme'.

yeah, that's a nice prospect! is it cold outside in baltimore?
because here it should be but isn't really, when the nicest thing on the days "between the years" (that's what we call the days between christmas and the new year) is wrapping oneself in a nice blanket on the sofa and start reading the books you got as presents ...

But in addition to being a lazy bum for a few days , I just joined a photographers group in Washington.  The Group is tilted toward film photography, but some of the members shoot mostly digital.  I sought to be around film photographers who are better than I am.  As the newest member of the Group, I feel pressure to produce some good, new images.

The weather here is cold and rainy - my least favorite weather condition.  Oh well. I don't care, because I really don't have to go out in it unless I really want.
