DESCRIPTION
Once a confident, social, and patriot soldier for his country, Jericho was chosen as one of many unfortunate citizens throughout the governed lands to be brutally experimented on without consent. A secret section of the Western Government tried to turn ordinary soldiers and bystanders alike into beasts of war for the ongoing clash between the Western and Eastern territories in this current state of the world.
Being the fourth patient actually to survive and respond to the genetic mutation process, Jericho was thus branded “Experiment #04” or “EX04” for short. Their main focus for EX04 was to give an average soldier the ability to shift into a swift, compact creature capable of disabling technology and interfering with electronic wavelengths while also being able to withstand contaminated environments. Though the “successful” integration wasn’t without complications, the secretive branch continued to push the creature to its limits and developed external devices to aid the limitations of his organic body.
After years of merciless torture, forced training, and with a better outlook from patients who succeed EX04, the government finally decided to declare him a failed project. Expected to be disposed of with several other earlier experiment IDs, the group decided to band together and make one last effort to escape with their lives. Though Jericho was not on board with this plan at first, as he was a mere empty shell of his former self, when the opportunity finally presented itself he had to help his comrades. Faithful years in the Argentine Army prior to this betrayal refused to allow him to just sit by and watch.
Through sheer luck and determination, the gang of misfits fought their way out of the encampment but were scattered in the process. Finding himself alone and in pursuit, Jericho instinctively fled into the woods, hoping the others had safely managed as well. There was nothing more he could do for them, he felt. Travelling as far as his feet would allow--avoiding search parties the best he could--Jericho had not felt this alive in years. Freedom, even if only temporary, was more of a sweet relief than he could have imagined. This whole scenario sparked the will to live back into the broken man.
Currently, Jericho is still on the run and constantly roaming because of this. He shifts between feral and human form to blend in where he must. Fliers and broadcasts can be seen with the escapee's faces around areas of high traffic. The government has labelled them convicts, murders, even kill-on-sight targets if need be. Due to this, Jericho tries to stick to rural areas and disguise himself in either form he takes. Dirt can be rubbed on in splotches in an attempt to cover his “04” branding and stripes while in feral form. In this dishevelled dystopia where it’s not uncommon to see man or creature outside cities looking their worst, most don’t even give him a passing glance.
With Military patrolling and enforcing their rule in every part of this world, every day is a struggle. Though he does his best to give an air of calm and collection, Jericho tries to stay aware of his surroundings and is constantly high strung. It will take a lot of patience and determination to get near this character if he isn't already sure you are an ally.

Preferred roleplay source: Art and/or headcanon swapping through notes or Discord.
Preferences: I’m better at developing plots than starting them so please have some event(s) in mind if you’d like to interact with this skittish character.
