the "Finish Avatar" project week four....
So... I know it's Thursday. And, i know this was due up yesterday (which is why I put a crappy pencil collage up yesterday). And, I know I had all day today to try and finish this too (it being 10:34pm right now as I post it).
But... regardless of all of the trouble I've had with this image. I'm probably more happy with it than I have been with any picture I've put up. And, I'm glad I took the extra time to finish it right.
I love the idea ( 's idea, he requested it) that all of Zuko's ancestors from Sozin forward, had at one time searched for the Avatar just like him. How they desperately tried to find and capture him, thereby sealing their fate as the supreme rulers of the known world... and, of course... no matter how hard they tried, none of them succeeded.
I especially tried to convey that feeling on Azulon's (top right) and Ozai's (bottom left) face, both in a separate and distinct way. It's a look of frustration and fatigue that only this honor-bound journey can create... I've seen it multiple times on Zuko.
Granted... It's still not perfect, and there are certain aspects I'm not completely happy with. But, overall, I'm very content.

yeah, when Makosharkman asked me to do this... I planned it out in my mind, and it just seemed to be missing something. As it was... it would just be four boring, rectangular panels... and that just wasn't exciting. It didn't take me long to realize that it needed Aang in the iceberg in the center because... symbolically, just like the Avatar was the connecting factor in each of their expeditions, it was what should connect the panels. Like a bullseye on a target and the four of them circling like vultures.

XD Where you put the strawberry was truly inspired, I almost didn't see it! I really like the composition of this piece, it really speaks to me about the whole Avatar Hunt idea.

Nice very Nice I love I dont know which one I like better maybe the one of Azulon Ozai and Zuko I love how Azulon Looks just like Azula and Ozai and his band of Fire Nation Solders are walking in the snow up the Mountain in a actual Snow storm but you didn't have to add the beard if he is onli 14 15 or 16 also I like Zuko picture to because its like djavow from the Show which is fine by me.
