This should certainly solve a lot of problems if Hawke and the Arishok duel by making love and see who lasts longer instead of forcing Hawke kills him. I was heart broken when I saw the Arishok last moment. Why didn't he just take his precious book and go home *facepalm*

Oh YESSS! I would have loved to have THAT option in the video game. That would have been a memorable battle indeed.
As for the Arishok taking his book; well, he does if you give him Isabela, which I did once. Than he walks away, but he dies either way, for he kills himself after Isabela escapes again, or so I heard. It doesn't really matter. It's more dignifying for him to die in battle, but I would really REALLY would have loved to be given an option to keep him alive and around. I miss him so much in the 3rd Act.

Wait, you said the Arishok killed himself? Wow, I've never handed Isabella over so I didn't know about that ending. You're right, that's a disgraceful way to die. Oh well, he would have to die so out Sten could be the new Arishok...
Now there's a thought: for his death, do you think he killed himself or he was punished by the Qun for failing the task given to him? I'm more about the latter.

That's what I read somewhere, but I don't remember anymore where. What I remember is that Isabela escapes whilst on the ship (so, I guess, jumping into the water???), and the Arishok kills himself in shame (I guess, before they reached the shores of Par Vollen). So I guess he killed himself, rather be executed by the Qun, but I certainly they would have killed him for failing. It's a cruel society.
I do love Sten a LOT, but I loved the Arishok more. I wish we could have met him in the future. He is so sexy!! ♥

Thank you so much for your opinion. In this particular case I do not agree with you. The pose is anatomically and perspective wise correct (I am sure of it, because I had my own models for this), but if you are referring to the fact that Hawke (the guy standing) seems in an awkward position, it's because he was pulled down for the almost-kiss, and is, as such, off balance. That is the message/intent of the whole image, to show a surprised/awkward moment.

Ah gotcha! Okay, I see it now. Yeah, that was the 'off' kinda feeling. I was gonna say 'off center' when I posted the first time but I didn't want to beat a dead horse. Wow--lucky sons-a-gun that got to model for you on this one! I'm jealous!

Lol! That's sweet, but don't be. It was a pain in the... to get this pose right (and from the right angle). Also, they were friends, so, not professional models, but the pose was so complex (because of the angle), that I desperately needed help with this one.

Yeah, I can imagine that being a problem. Trying to make anything look 'accidental' without being too cartoony isn't easy, I'm sure. There's a natural off-balance feeling and movement that is just hard to put onto paper (or digitally as the case may be).

Absolutely!! I totally thought there was some ST between the two, especially at the end of Act 2 when the Arishok is trying to take Hawke captive.

Oh yes I wished that Hawke could have had a dialogue option where he/she was all "So, I've noticed those smoldering glares you've been throwing at me these past few years. Are you SURE we can't come to some kind of agreement?"
