There are some common points between Vanitas and Baudelaire 's existential concerns,
but i really know few things about his works.

I used to have the book, read it quite a bit. French on one side, English translation on the opposing page. I think it was an antique. I actually mentioned it to Iskaeldt just the other day. I had a Poe book too, his American counterpart, printed around the same time. They seemed to regard life and death similarly. Now I can read them from a computer screen, it's just not the same :]
