Wait...you don't have to pay for heat? Lucky loljk ...Actually, that would make sense, since I doubt yours is electrical heat, unlike mine. I'm especially worried about how my electric bill would be this month, since I think my hometown made a deal where if my utility bill goes up by a certain amount, my monthly rent is lowered by that much.

Well that's good, at least. My rent's going up a tiny bit this year (probably to offset the crazy heating bill my landlord's been dealing with, I'm sure), and so are the electric rates... yaaay...

I can't help but be curious (and I'm as curious as I am talkative, so be warned): Does where you live have its own electric company? Mine does.

There are like two-three electric suppliers you can chose from where I live. They supply almost any town in the state, but hurr, New Hampshire, so regionally/nationally speaking they're all tiny companies. Everyone's rates are going up in 2015, so it really doesn't matter which one you go with at the moment.

Shitty weather + people driving into power poles = whoops, bye electricity.
On Thanksgiving when we had an ice storm the transformers outside our apartment blew up. It was pretty spectacular (reading by candlelight notwithstanding).

I wouldn't say it was a "blizzard", but I can relate on the third one. One time, when my parents were driving me to one of the two schools I attended, I saw that it was snowing (albeit lightly, I think), and I was like: "CRAP GLOBAL WARMING'S AT IT AGAIN!"
...I don't know if global warming causes that; but that's what I said, I think.
