Kickass, I'd like to try out a blade with an extreme hookaround curve like that someday, just to see how practical they are to actually use.

Having handled heavy curved swords, I can tell you these would be very impractical in actual combat, but menacing for executions or display/ceremonial pieces.
They would be heavy, needing two hands. They'd be grossly imbalanced, making them unweildy and slow. They'd be impossible to sheath, meaning they'd have to be carried naked, which is never a smart thing to do.
Now smaller versions would eventually equate into heavy sickles, which is another story.
