Well it not a lightsaber.,It more like a crystal whip. The whistle color mean it standard power but it can change if it put Dust Crystal.

Well Tim's father has the privilege to name anything for once. Delsin was born a place call Fauman where Human and Faunus live together. Unfortunately, Fauman was destroyed. Jacque Schnee order some machine soldiers to destroy Fauman and wipe it off the map.

In the America's her name was Android 18, actual dubbing translates to Cyborg 18 or something along those lines. American English Dubbing (apparently anyway)
CNR is the rule pretty much all RWBY OC's follow, Monty pretty much made the rule.

Sure. Though Tim was base by Tiny Tim. It not of his leg, but the reason I base on Tiny Tim it because he's the smallest in the group.

Well, judging that he's wearing a lot of brown, and also is technically a red head (though his hair is pretty much orange) Have something in the brown department.

Best to do the same with Delsin Echo. What you can do is always look to well, anything with color. Flowers, translations, materials, anything really.

I understand that. My main OC was once named Ziyo Cherro or something like that. He changed into Flare Incendies, mainly to fit CNR and because he needed to change.
It's just the name that matters, nothing else (Though I did change a lot of "Ziyo" whenever he became Flare)

Let's be honest, not that many semblances are original.
Example:Flare's semblance copies off of Raiden from Metal Gear Solid Rising, he can slow time down and cut a lot of things really fast (It's more of his reflexes are enhanced a lot and he can react very quickly)

Sounds interesting, but it's just that animal stuff really hasn't been explained too much in RWBY, so it's best to change it (For now anyway) Until everything else is explained.
Everyone is an idiot at some point, whenever I first started writing RWBY stuff it was terrible and I was pretty idiotic, especially with my OC's. But it can easily change, with only improvement.
