What is the scariest place on Earth? Prison? No...an insane asylum? No. It's much simpler. The scariest place is inside the average child's mind. Children are the most vulnerable and also have the broadest imagination. Why would I tell you this? Well...you'll just have to read and find out. This story is about a little boy named Jason, Jason was like any kid his age. He was energetic, he loved making friends, and one of his favourite things to do was to play Pokemon. He would play for hours on end on his games. He had every single one (which meant he owned the whole first and second generation when this occured) and he had alot of Pokemon toys.

One day it all changed.

One day when Jason was only 7 he got hit by a car...luckily he survived but he was severely injured by the hit and he had broken both his legs. From then on...he was a shadow of his former self. He didn't go outside to play (or outside at all) even when his legs mended. His parents had to home school him. He no longer wanted to make friends with the other kids his age. But he still played with his Pokemon, and one in particular which he felt reflected how he was before the accident.

Pichu.

He adored his Pichu on his Pokemon Silver to bits, and when it came to the time to be taught or sleep time, he would kiss his Pichu goodnight. He played on the game even after he had all the 16 badges and had defeated Red, he was now doing it simply for the Pichu. When he saw the new games at the time (Ruby and Sapphire) he wanted them desperately,another chance to go on an adventure, trapped in his little fantasy.

Then he turned 11.

Eleven is a relatively young age, compared to some older people. But Jason felt not only like he was older, but he felt he was alot more free now he was 11. For the first time in 5 years he wanted to go to school again. He had a decent amount of people who were his friends, and he was starting to obtain higher grades.

Slowly, Pokemon...and Pichu alike, became nothing but a distant memory.

3 Years passed and Jason's life was perfect. He was captain of the school's football team, he wan an honour roll student, and best of all, he had a girlfriend. He couldn't see life getting any better. Then he noticed that generation V of Pokemon was coming out, it wasn't via the telly. He was told by a friend surprisingly.

When he pre-ordered it that night, he was glad that he was finally getting to play his beloved Pokemon games again. He then heard something coming from the tv. He turned to it, thinking that he had turned it off before. But then he saw what was on.

His old Pichu.

He hadn't seen him for years but he knew it. It just felt like it. Only...it looked sad, and it's ears were drooped. Around it were the two words which made Jason wonder. It made Jason want to blow the dust off his Pokemon Silver game and he wanted to go find his old Pichu again.

The picture on the screen said "help me"
