I have decided to fill the carvings with golden enamel...because before it appeared too dark...in my opinion now it is much better...isn't it?

this is what I hope to aspire to. Still can't get my carving to be that neat. but then again I can't seem to keep my tools really sharp.

Don't worry Kesna! I took 3 years to make a perfect sharpening (maybe not so perfect, but the sharpening that I wanted )

now it looks more like a traditional celtic design, so rich and vibrant, the gold is perfect against the green

Yes...or you could have done the opposite and washed the lighter shade over the top - but that wouldn't have given it the bright visual appearance that you have achieved here.
