Description "We found a God and He was starving"

In a world where everything is going mad and human thoughts decays as fast as dried leaves, even God can't help us out, so it may happen that someday He could fall down here 'cause He's too old and tired...

I love this peice so much.
Ever since first coming across it yeeeears ago.
Invevitably I'll forget about it in the hussle of the day-to-day, but there is just something about the title of this peice that keeps me coming back to find it again even now in 2011.

To me, this is a timeless peice, and one I'll never forget. At least not permenantly anyway.

I'm not religeous in any way, but the horror buff in my just loves the idea of our once futuristic civilization finding a physical god thats withered and twisted, monsterous and ...starving. Something almost Lovecraftian.

This is an amazing peice, and you, are a master.

Kudos and well done on capturing my imagination and holding it for all these years.

-Grey

I believe this is how God's heart really looks like as He watches us sin every single day pretty sad, don't you think?

yet, I find this piece basically really cool

Hehe, what the hell?! I like this. You've re-invented the old clichΓ© that is the heart and wings into something cool and gory. Fav.

Furthermore, I'd like to point out that I did this when I still had not listened to those metalcore bands yet, thus not having seen their damn skull/heart thingies with wings on the back!
Thanks for your comment.

Yea, the old gods used to be fed frequently...modern gods starve, poor things. Ah, but when the pagans again become majority...

What an amazing title. Great image to go with it, it really seems like a plausible concept.

I think the most striking feature is the quote. And your description.
It's definately inspired my train of thought.
I think the concept is very strong and bold.
Severed decayed heart -emotions; humanity; life?- immortalised by a pair of wings ...i dunno. Seems to be that link to divinity.
In short, a very powerful portrayal.
