Hi Warren, how are you?   Thank you very much for your kind comment as usual.  It was a challenge for me to do them as the size of the paintings that they requested was very small.  Fortunately, the owners were satisfied with them very much and I was so relieved.

I am good Masa, I have to drive to Brandon and back today so I am taking my camera with me. You are most welcome about the comment, it was well deserved. Besides the size of the paintings did find extra challenge because you were doing their pets, and you wanted them to be perfect for them?  I find that when painting for myself I put pressure on to do the best I can, but there is always added pressure when you are doing a special commission like this one. I am guessing that was the relieving part.

Yes, your guess was totally right, Warren.  I felt so much pressure to work on the portraits.  I was concerned about the owner's reaction very much when I showed them to him, but I got some really nice compliments.  Do you get many commissions of portraits?  I don't think I can do it that often!

I do not get any portrait commissions, but I am doing a diptych landscape for someone I am really close to right now and the pressure to do it right is quite intense. I figured you would put a lot of pressure on yourself for such a project but we both have to understand that we are good at what we do, and people will see our work with their eyes and not our own.

The thing is this if you can use your artistic talent to make others happy, what better use of it is there?

I hope you have a great weekend and not too much rain in your part of the world.

Take care Masa.
