Description This is a painting of a tea garden called Koho-an in Kyoto, Japan. This garden is the dry landscape style. The four panels in the upper portion of the sliding paper screen, or 'shoji', limit what is visible of the garden from inside the tea room or 'bosen'. The low height of the hand washing basin requires the user to stoop, a physical action that has the feeling of humbling oneself. Modesty is an essential part of the tea-ceremony.

This is beautifully painted, I love the earthy tones, and great shadowing you used here, I think it's especially nice how the greenery breaks up all of the perspective and tight line work as well.
