A fully posable ornate icy fox I have been working diligently on since last wednesday after the Storefront Artist Project in Pittsfield MA requested that I provide them with six posable creatures along with other things I make to sell in their gallery/shop.Her face, paws, and tail tip have been carefully sculpted from polymer clay over a reinforced wire frame. I then painted her in acrylics, glazed her, and then sewed her body over the frame by hand and stuffed her. I also made her necklace and tail charm with twine, string, glass beads, metal beads, seed beads, polymer clay beads that I made, sanded, and glazed myself, and a lovely glass opal cabochon that I embedded in clay as well.
She can hold almost any pose thanks to her wire frame!
The shop was REALLY excited to sell these for me after seeing this guy:
*crosses fingers* I can only hope that my dream of making art full time will come true

What sort of paint do you use? I love the pearlescent look of it.

I have Pearl Finish and Platinum in the Ceramcoat brand for the lovely pearly white
they also look great when mixed with other metallic colors, like the blue which is from the brand Decoart, they have a whole metallic line of paints, and Folkart brand has great metallic and pearl colored paints too, all available at Michaels

The texture of the clay is very interesting and the eyes look great. Very cute!
