Description As you can see this small (but imposing) little toad is looking in through a (dirty) window pane. I was doing some tidying in my basement one afternoon and looked up to see this guy leering down at me like this. First it was cute, and then after a few uneasy moments of unbroken eye contact I became a little weary. So, I got my camera and grabbed a few shots of my new window creeper. You know, in case I need to identify him.

Haha nice shot!

Where'd you take this shot? Looks like an American Toad to me...

Thank-you!

This little guy was shot in Canada! So that would make sense that he looks like an American toad (though the name is a bit misleading). I guess you could consider him a North American toad. Which means he's the same, only he apologizes too much and has a taste for plaid.

Yeah, they're all over this area. This would be that species you're seeing. I was just making lame Canadian jokes.

Yeah, I'm just poking fun at the common Canadian stereotypes. Along with apologizing too much, it's also assumed that we always wear plaid. It's the lumberjack thing, I guess.

Actually, I have not yet met one myself either! Hahaha. I fear that it's one of many stereotypes that is a product of media misconception...

Though I'm still holding out for the possiblity that I may one day run into a beer-drunk Canadian lumberjack playing hockey-polo on a mountie horse while chugging maple syrup from the bottle.

Yeah, I definitely agree Overall, I found Americans and Canadians to be not too dissimilar, to be honest. I certainly couldn't tell them apart when there was a great number of both on the cruise ship! All the people there were kind and courteous

Haha I don't know why, but when I read that, I had an image of a group of drunk miners taking shots of maple syrup and singing the Canadian anthem Not sure how a drunk man can keep hold of the bottle whilst riding a horse and playing hockey-polo, but I'd sure like to see that!
