Description
It’s a hot summer day so you decide to go for a swim in the ocean. As you enjoy yourself you notice a presence in the water with you. You submerge yourself into the water, and swim down to the bottom, where you see a beautiful Miqo’te in dancer’s garb swimming around. You observe her and realize she’s rehearsing some sort of exotic underwater dance. She notices you and smiles at you, clearly holding her breath as she does so.You two are deep underwater and there’s no one else around for miles. What do you do?

Never heard of a Miqo'te, but she certainly does look beautiful.

The Miqo’te smiles at you and surfaces.
“How long were you watching?” she asked. She didn’t sound upset, but rather flattered you were watching her rehearse.

"About... thirty seconds..." I blush a bit. "You were really beautiful."

“Thanks, I get that a lot...” she said. “My name’s Maki, by the way.”

"Oh... Jared." I smile. "So were you practicing for an event or just dancing to dance?"

“Oh no, I’m rehearsing for a performance. I’ve got a gig at a venue with... specific tastes. I can do the entire dance underwater, but holding my breath the whole time is a bit trickier. The routine’s about two and a half minutes long.”

"There's an old trick I was taught that might help you. When you feel the need for air, try puckering your lips and swallowing as hard as you can. It hurts a bit more for a small bit, but it can relax your lungs and possibly help you hold your breath longer."
(This is not a real thing, but neither are Miqo'tes from my understanding)

Maki furrowed her brow. “That might work. And it might look really cute too! That’s really helpful, thank you... I’m gonna go back under and try again. Come down and watch me if you’d like,” she added, her tail curling.

I pull out a rebreather. "If it doesn't work, I have this."

Maki smiled. “That’s thoughtful of you, thanks.” She took a deep breath and plunged under.

I dived under to watch her.

Maki did her routine, her movements accentuating her hips and stomach. She looked calm, serene, in her element.
After a minute or so, she was clearly beginning to struggle. So she did as her new audience member suggested, puckering her lips and swallowing. It felt uncomfortable, but the strain in her lungs diminished greatly.

I nod and continue watching, sitting on a nearby rock.

She repeats the trick a couple more times, and although she still looks graceful as she performs her final flourish, the dark red hue of her cheeks tell a different story. She quickly scrambled back to the surface one she finishes, all of her grace vanishing in an instant.

I clap as I surface. "That was beautiful! I'll be sure to come see you perform!"

Maki blushed at the praise. “Thanks...” she scratched the back of her head. “Actually, would you mind... swimming with me? Just for a bit?”

"Of course." I hand her my rebreather which I didn't use and pull out another one

"Suit yourself." He pockets it and they begin to swim.

Maki swam under and rolled over so she was swimming on her back. She smiled, bubbling some air up towards you.

I smile and swim down to her, getting up close to her face and smiling smugly.

Maki blushed a bit at the closeness, but smiled. “Thbabnks bforbl sbpebndibng tbibme wbobth mbe,” she bubbled, not sure if you could even understand bubblespeak.

Maki giggled, then realized she was losing some air. She did the trick you mentioned again, puckering her lips and swallowing.
“Thanks for teaching me that trick,” she bubbled.

I decided that instead of surfacing, I'd make a bold move and kiss her, transferring air that way, just to see how she reacted.

Maki went stiff, her tail especially straightening, but after a second, she realized what was going on and accepted the air, leaning into your kiss.
“Mmmmph...”

I moved back and smiled, before taking a breath from my rebreather

Maki blinked, blushing red from the sudden contact, though she definitely looked like she enjoyed it. She continued to hold on to you, clearly enjoying the closeness.

I decide to kiss her again, no air transfer involved this time, to see how she'd react.

This time there was no hesitation or shock, she wrapped her arms around you and reciprocated.

Her eyes widened as she realized she needed air. But she didn’t want to break the kiss...
