Not a problem mate, I really haven't had much to do with comics in general for about 5 years now,(other than general drawing and stuff) just can't afford to buy em, BUT Exiles rocked when I was reading them. Glad to just have the rekindle of fondness sparked by your post. Thanks!

Well the crew that's on here on DA posting peaks into their creative talents and processes is out of this world, new and old artists alike. And you're all so nice and polite, real art wonders to admire and look up to. (Shrugs) I've gotten back into artwork again after joining DA (little over a year now), and with all of the super artists to learn and study from, in a year I've made some real personal strides in getting a little better.
And being able to write a comment and say hey thanks for the inspiration, well, that's just way cool in itself. Thanks Mark, hope all is well with you and keep on rocking out the inspiration mate!

There's something about your inking style that brings me back to the golden days of comics.. hints of a kirby influence maybe ?
especially the inking to the magneto statue, bold and deliberate.. or maybe just a combo of the penciller and your own styles influencing the outcome.. I dunno.. don't wanna ramble. heh !

oh yep.. totally.. lol it's what i'm constantly trying to find harmony with.. cartoon gives such limitless expression and exaggeration.. comic-book has the impact and dynamics of a style loong developed and evolved.

It does. I think the key is somehow keep the life that comes from animation or even quick gesture drawings, and add in all the details and nuance that the comic form expects... Easier said than done!
