Description
Reika, Miki's aggressive rival for Hiro's affections, was a fun character for me to create. I wanted her to come across at first as a stereotypical 'bad girl', then gradually show that she had a legitimate point of view and was more than just a snarling villian. By the third book ("Autumn") she is, I hope, capable of surprising the reader with her actions.If you'd like to see Reika in action, make sure you check out my Miki Falls preview, which features her prominently:

Have you ever thought about drawing gothic or emo characters? I have been trying to find out how to draw characters with that style but I cant find any books or pictures or anything to help me figure out how to draw them. I mean drawing chains and tatoos are hard enough. Can you help me?

I love how you made this! I love the back ground, her pose...
And I KNOW you didn't ask for advanced ctirique... Plus, I know I can't do any better for the time being, but feet are as long as your forearm. If you're going to make her forearm that long, he feet need to be too. If that was her in real life, she couldn't walk. Her feet would be too small to hold her up... Sorry if I'm being rude!

Sorry, I don't comment much anymore, but this has always been one of my favorite characters, just because I really like how you draw her.

I could tell from the start that she was supposed to come across as a bad girl - it's in her appearance and speech pattern. I feel like it becomes clear even in Summer, though, that she's just being defensive.
I love the ink and watercolor image over the sketched background. Actually, the cross-hatching in the background is a refreshing change from the solid line-work in the manga! The detail is all still there, but I feel like it has more...character? That is totally not the right word, but there's something about it that emanates an aura of...something I can't quite put my finger on.
I guess what I'm trying to say is that this is really nice!!
