Description
My first space scene. All drawn by hand in photoshop. Some texture used for planet's terrain and the gas planets were created with my own clouds brushes - the same, used to paint the nebula clouds. You can download wallpaper sized versions from my website. Here's the link: [link]Related content

Thank you very much. This is a first serious scene. I have a few tutorials on making space at my tutorial website, but they weren't nearly as good as this work: they were just for teaching purposes.

Woaaw... I wish my first space scene was as great as yours ! I really like the color of the background nebulae ! How did you make the lens flare in the top left ?

Thank you very much. The lens flare is easy. Create a new layer and draw a 5px soft line with a pen. Then create a layer mask and with a gradient black-white-black make the corners disappear. Duplicate the layer, resize it and rotate 90 degrees to get the small line. At the end, create another layer below the two and simply tap once or twice with a soft round large brush. Merge all 3 layers and set the blending mode of the resulting layer to "linear dodge (add)". That should do the job
