I loved this episode. The ending was "Explosive".
Yeah, bad pun. But seriously though, that climactic scene was just so chilling.
And Toffee makes a damn good serious villain compared to Ludo.

Nice poster. The finale was a sloppy, poorly written, rushed mess that did nothing to solidify the reasoning behind any of the past drama. It left me knowing none of the answers raised by the previous episodes.

Hell no, not for what the series was building up. Not for all the emotion and intrigue that the show was building up. I didn't find any sort of climactic value in the finale at all. Anything dramatic came out of nowhere and anything that was built up had no pay-off.

As a season finale - yeah, it's disappointing. It didn't explain much and was full of deus ex machina.
As an episode it's much better than "Marco decided to grow a beard!", "Star's father decides to move into her's room!", "Star goes on the road trip!". You get the point.

Marco's beard had a payoff ending with Ludo getting thrown out of his castle. You felt sympathy for him and it hung with you all week because you didn't know what he was gonna do or how badly it hurt him. It was a powerful ending. I'd have to say the weakest episode was the one with Gustav the foreign exchange student, mostly because it introduced a character that isn't likely to ever be seen again. It's a straight-up filler episode if I ever saw one. All the budget from that episode could have been used to extend the finale to an hour long. You could have cut the Gustav episode completely out and literally nothing would have changed.
