I just scanned the comments below but I love the blending of the cartoon-y, the real, and the hyper-sexualized. I know little about you personally but I suspect in your evolution as an artist, you will gravitate to the realistic and that's as it should be, in a way -- but there's always room for fun.

Based on your comments I'd say you are making your way to a happy balance. You have always rocked faces, this one, although a little more as you call it "cartoony" with the big eyes is still a dream that anyone would love to have. Hope you find your balance, meanwhile we will take all the practicing you want to give us!

I don't see why they don't like how you normally draw. I thought that stuff was solid and well executed. This isn't bad but I was a bit surprised when I saw it, having seen all your older work previously.

Well, considering the work you've put into this so far, I'd be heartily surprised if they said no to this. You've done an excellent job with the texture of the vinyl (at least that's what I always assumed her costume was made of >_>) which helps gives the piece a really nice sense of depth. The pose is strong, but still lithe, and pliable. The facial expression gives a bit of the sly look, the impression of a smile. So far, looks really amazing, hope the client appreciates it!

thanks, this one is just a piece i did while i took a break from a commission i'm working on. the faces are what give me the most trouble. cartoony is easier than anything with more realism, and a lot more enjoyable for me. i like doing realism, but only in a painting,and with a lot of reference. i'm trying to find a balance between the two. that way i can make my buyers happy, and make it a lot more fun for me too
