Beside the fact he is a peasant boy and often barefoot which made me chose the title

yes I do think it portrays a peasant boy.
His feet are bare but he obviously does not walk on a beach.
His trousers look workmanlike and are dirty
And the environment give the association of a barn.
His feet not formed by shoes obviously (and look nice)
I like it when you picture a situation with minimal information.
You have great models (including yourself)

Very interesting, I am really glad you said that. You have an amazing amount from that fragment. The environment is an old mill or press. The clothes are his own and the jeans were very dusty and grubby. Not dirty unwashed. I occasionally see him in canvass shoes but not much. Hence he has strong, natural feet. I like to use models who have a natural 'look' about them. Not gym models or glamour models. Quite often locals are happy to have a bit of money. Although some won't get undressed.
