This was one of earliest fantasy novels I read after lord of the rings of course 
very fond of this book

I'm reading that one right now! 'father and son'? is Allanon the son of Bremen? I'm guessing this is the part where he meet's with Bremens ghost nevermindIdontwanttoknow! I'm not through it yet... beautiful artwork

I was going to say the same: it reminds me a lot to the illustrations by Gustave Doré (Dorè?) in "Paradise Lost". Great stuff.

Yes the entire composition is definately something Doré could have done. I'm really impressed! Now if only the books where half as good though...
