Illustration for KEEP WATCHING THE SKY Volume One covering the year 1958 an interesting one for scifi films The name of the theater was an in joke There was this rundown little neighborhood movie house in a seedy part of Hollywood that used to give midnight showings of oddball old B films to a select invitation only audience one of which was myself It was good fun to see this crud on the big screen instead of a little TV one but after about a year or so the Gordon was sold and the screenings stopped The Gordon then became an art house showing a different more pretentious kind of crud but I wont go into that right now
