This is a great shot, I really like how the colors contrast each other. The lively green with the 'dead' brown works nicely. The detail is also great and I really like the look of the dead leave. I tried something similar once but your result is far better.

It's interesting how clear, contrasted and distinct some areas are in this piece. I'm not sure I'm fond of the lighting, as it feels a bit too intense here, but I do like the way the colours contrast and how the depth of field is relatively shallow to add more impact and effect overall... the square format works well with things and the positioning isn't too bad.
I think it's great how the top half appears to be quite empty whereas the bottom half appears quite full, like.

The light was not good at the shooting time, at sunset, but I like it anyway although I'm not happy with the positioning of the leaf, I wanted to place it so more from the upper part was on focus to show the transition from leaf to "skeleton" but light just wasn't enough. I'll try it today again.
