I can't believe how wonderfully crisp the image is. If I was going to say anything "critique worthy" on it, I'd probably complain about how it feels really centered and would have added more beach to the right side- though that's more of a matter of opinion. Still, wonderful piece.

Thank you. Well, the camera time was set to German time,
but on the Maldives it's 3 hours later. So the pic was shot at 9:30

Ich seh gerade du hast die D300 und ein 18-200VR Objektiv. War das als Kitobjektiv dabei bzw. bist du damit zufrieden?
Frage da ich mir diese Kamera ins Auge gefasst habe. Mein Plan ist nΓ€mlich im Jan/Feb eine neue und bessere Kamera zu kaufen als meine olle D40 und dieses Kitobjektiv.

Ja, ich habe die Kamera mit dem Objektiv zusammen gekauft und bin sehr zufrieden damit. FΓΌr ein Superzoom ist es wirklich erstaunlich gut. NatΓΌrlich ist ein Nikkor 17-55 oder 24-70 2.8 noch um eingiges besser, dafΓΌr kosten die aber auch mehr als das doppelte und man braucht noch ein Tele zusΓ€tzlich. Also wenn man nicht so viel mitnehmen will (wie ich auf den Malediven ) bzw. als Immerdrauf-Objektiv ist es wirklich erste Wahl. Das Einzige was halt manchmal fehlt ist etwas LichtstΓ€rke vom Schlage 2.8, aber das ist bei dem Preis nunmal nicht besser realisierbar. Bei der D300 kann man ja auch schΓΆn die ISO hochdrehen ohne dass es gleich rauscht.
