Kim looks like she's loaded for bear, which given what her quarry is makes sense. I can't imagine what the collar and purple accents could possibly mean

Well true but the skills she had as a hunter should still come in handy. You can't be a good bodyguard if you can't fight and sharp senses should alert her to trouble before it strikes.
