Description
This is the scarf I knitted for my boyfriend for Christmas. He's a huge Nintendo fanboy, so I used retro Link and Mario (Christmas colours, yay!).

I've learned to knit the basic stitches when I was much younger, but I always had to ask my mom to fix mistakes and stuff, and I've never tried changing colours or making any patterns. So this was my first attempt at something complicated. The internet helped XD

I didn't really have a pattern, just made it up as I went along. At first I tried to knit in the coloured parts, but it was impossible to keep track of 4 balls of yarn, so instead I knitted those parts the base colour (red and green), and went back and used duplicate stitch for Mario and Link. The front looks nice, but the back looks pretty messy >__<

When I was knitting it, it felt pretty long, but when worn, it felt short... oh well.

And because I overestimated the amount of yarn I needed, I have huge amounts of dark brown and beige left over DX
