"Try to stay cool little man!" says the bald giant as he feels the tininess of the little creature's arm between his beefy finger and thumb. "I'm not gonna hurt you, I just can't believe how minuscule you have become!"
The tiny man feels the pressure of the giant’s fleshy thumb and forefinger as his own miniscule arm is stretched as high as it will go. He hears the deep bass rumbling of the behemoth’s words (and feels the vibrations resonate through his fragile body) as his gargantuan master speaks to him. In the tiny fellow’s peripheral vision, he can make out the massive other hand of the colossus, held up in what the giant may be intending as a reassuring gesture, but which the poor little creature can only experience as yet another manifestation of the titan’s consummate strength, size and power. He is understandably overwhelmed by the sheer magnitude of the leathery hands.
It is perhaps fortunate that the miniature man is distracted from looking at the craggy, lined, hirsute face of the masculine giant. Under other circumstances, were he to look, he would be riveted by the deep character lines etched on the leviathan’s visage and the lush, bushy mustache and sideburns that are set off so well by the giant’s bald pate. But these are not other circumstances. If he were to look up into the face of his owner now, it is likely that he would be struck by the amused yet serious set of the giant’s sensual jaw and the look of concentration on the face of the colossus--even though the deep-set eyes of the giant are not looking at him directly. The enormous man seems to be thinking . . . perhaps considering possibilities? No, it is best that the tiny man is, for now, not focussed on what his master may be thinking. It would do no good. The tiny man's life is no longer his own.
