You're right you probably would get weird looks

Maybe my description was a little unclear (i'm forever being unclear about my meaning, i know what i mean i just never seem to use the right words )

I knew it was a buddhist symbol originally, i actually considered taking a print out of the manji symbols explanation and carrying it around with me at the convention i wore it at, but i didn't have much of a problem i was only recognised by three or so people

I wore a coat over it when i walked up the public street to the convention site though!

Thanks for liking it i think if i was to do another blade of the immortal cosplay it would probably be Magatsu or Eiku Shizuma (though i don't really want to do cosplay that includes waraji for a while -___-) oh yeah if i could i'd love to do a cosplay of Shira with his 'arm weapon'

shira's arm weapon is psychotic and creepy! o_O would be really fun to cosplay, though. If only one could temporarily remove one's limbs or something. XD

Hmm, good reference. I was too lazy to look through anything besides volume one. >_> Either way, your costume looks awesome, and you can place all the blame for any confusion squarely on the artist.
