Still watching re-runs on Chiller ten years later. Man, I really miss this show. Too bad they recast Daisy for the movie.

The movie is called 'Dead Like Me: Life After Death". It's ok, but obviously different writers, and recasting Daisy, no Rube; some of the changes really seemed to hurt it. Plus, they ignored the reaper rule where they can't talk about their old lives to their families. That threw me off. Then, they did nothing with the things the last few episodes of season 2 were setting up for season 3. The end of season 2 seemed (to me anyway) to be building toward Georgia being something special even among reapers.

D: they really changed it......i dont want to see it it will ruin the tv show for me. I absolutely loved that show. Rube, Mason, and Roxy were my favorites. Daisy pissed me off though. But thats so depressing that they changed it so much!

It isn't terrible, just different. They were trying to get up interest for a possible third season. They felt the need to reintroduce the characters, but they didn't ignore the fact that five years passed between the second season and the movie. It looks like a pretty rough five years for Ellen Muth too, but I still love her.

It's under $10 on DVD, so I say you should watch it. Then watch it again with the commentary track playing, Ellen and the director explain the 'why's for some of the changes. For a direct-to-DVD movie, trying to restart my favorite show ever, it does alright.

I bought the box set, both seasons and the movie, on Amazon for $35. I know the movie alone is under $10.

This is a good picture. Betty used to be my favorite. Now it's probably George, then Mason, then Daisy. I also like Delores Herbig (as in her big brown eyes) and Reggie. The gravelings are cute too! I wish they hadn't made it into a crappy movie.
