This is great, love the colours!
I also love the way you have painted it. Just curious, in parts such as on the neck, there are lines, is that a texture or a brush?

Thank you! I experimented with a paint style and extra colour when I did this one ^^ Ah those lines are from a brush... It's a from Paint Tool SAI. I just tweaked the brush settings to get the lines thinner

No it just thinned out the bristles from the brush tool (the brush tool has about 4 or 5 'bristles' to give texture. And there's an adjustable level of wetness/dryness on the brush

Oh what seriously? I was about to ask does it actually change the brush but thought that'd be silly. I use Photoshop and like you said I think you can only get a similar effect with pre-made brushes (which I struggle to find). I've often considered trying out something like SAI, as I've always thought it was created for art where as Photoshop was for editing photos I imagine... Hmmm, thanks for answering my questions

I'm sorry its so hard to explain... the reason is because the level adjuster for this effect doesn't even have a label. Its just 0% to 100% =_= But it helps make some cool brush effects with only one brush and no textures! AH thats weird since I'm always finding PSD brush packs and NO SAI brushes

Yeah, they are about for photoshop but it sounds like you don't have as much flexibility with it as you do in SAI, that or I'm doing something wrong :'D

I finally got around to getting SAI and I've only been playing with the brushes and I feel good about it already! Providing I can get used to the program, I'm expecting great things

And I was going to comment to you recently too... my tablet almost broke! O_o' It was almost just after we talked about it too xD but its working again right now! I've definitely got to order a new one now though too!!

Heh, it's taking me a bit to get used to though. I haven't managed to finish anything yet, it just feels so alien! But I do like what it does so hopefully it won't remain feeling alien :'D
Oh no! What was wrong with it? What tablet do you have? I've been debating a new one, although I've had my Wacom Bamboo 4 years or so and it does me well

I have the cheap Bamboo Wacom! Oh I know right! Its supposed to be the simplest one I think, but its been doing great for me too~ Except for the recent wire issues... The plug-in from the wire to the tablet has been very finicky and it didn't help when my tablet got bumped on that side =_= Now its taped up and I have to put pressure on the connection so that it connects properly. Still looking for a new one but not sure which to get!

I have no idea, probably though; I do think at the time of buying it I didn't want to pay out a lot because my previous brand of tablet kept breaking. However, true to its name my Bamboo has and is still going strong! But yeah, sounds like yours has gone through the wars so maybe getting a new one would be a good idea. Yeah I'd be the same, if I were to upgrade I wouldn't know what to get... I'd love a Cintiq but again it's the cost and having the room... :/

Ah I can't remember but I posted it on the last Christmas! Thank you for commenting Bonnie! Yay!! I'm glad I posted this one. I should try more colour paintings... I wish I could say that I did the background by scratch but I just found a texture that matched exactly my pre-made colours. And I enhanced it with some colour overlays too.II'm glad u can tell that they are streetlights.. Kind like he might be inside on a rainy day, or in a taxi?
