Act 6 Future, Priest HeliosPart 1
And so, Act 6 begins!
In the Black Moon arc of the manga when Venus was reading on the file about the Death Phantom, it was stated that Neo Queen Serenity was the one who stood up to fight him. However, I feel like that statement neglects King Endymion, who we know possesses his own powers. Maybe (and this is purely my own conjecture) when Naoko Takeuchi was originally writing the Black Moon arc she hadn’t yet thought about giving Endymion his own crystal. But in any case, I want to try to portray Endymion as someone who has power, because, like his wife, he is every bit as much of a guardian of Earth as she is.

Well, at the time of Black Moon, I believe Endymion's powers basically amounted to sharing his energy with people or seeing how badly the earth had been damaged, like in Dark Kingdom, so at the time, he might have been more of a support figure. No less important, but not as... 'active' as the girls. (Though, this would make one wonder why Endymion's powers didn't expand over the 1000 years since... but in that timeline, he and Serenity didn't really get together until a bit later and Chibiusa was born when Serenity was 22, so... eh, let's say that the 'first' timeline of the original Black Moon was different from the one the manga eventually followed, so Endymion's latent powers DIDN'T awaken as much... call it fan-wank, but I think it makes sense.)

I have to agree. I think Takeuchi-sensei was still making up part of the canon as she kept writing. So retconned, it makes sense that Endymion would help fight too. But I DO remember that 'article' was potent because it was the only time that Serenity actively fought an enemy after being crowned Queen.

Me too! Neo Serenity and Endymion facing Death Phantom together is something that I'd love to see, and much more sense as since the Dream Arc, Takeuchi-sama has clearly identified him as Sailor Moon's partner (the last Arc being an exception becuse it was something she had to face alone). This said, excellent art, as ever!
