Description Aaaaaaaand this ladies and getlemen is my contest entry (yes another one!!) for 's contest. You can find the link to the details in my journal

I think this is my best anatomy (if you don't count the paws and claws that is XD) yet! *wiiii* And this was also fun to draw since I had a lot of freedom except Alcira's Zuicune had to be in the picture and you had to draw to the words - see title - I wanted to do a background too but I couldn't decide which would look better - totally black or the sky with clouds But better safe than sorry I always say

She lost a battle or something I'm not comepletly sure what happened This was just a pic that was stuck insinde my head from the second I read the title of the contest What did happen to her in your oppinion?^^

I think you have the right to say this is some of your best anatomy thus far! I really like the ears for some reason. And the pose is great. The paws aren't really that bad, though they aren't the best part of the picture. The head and expression look great, too!

Thanks for that lovely comment I love the ears too! And for this pic I didn't even have any references it's all done from my head - I'm proud of it especially for that XD I still need to work on my legs and paws and on anatomy too but slowly I'm getting there

That's awesome! I do most of my art from my head too, without references. Only sometimes I wish I didn't. References can be so helpful sometimes... if you can find what you're looking for.
As to that, yes! It takes time and patience (and lots of practice), but you'll get there. And, besides, paws are hard. >< -hates doing paws-

I usually use ref only for certain parts of the body or I just check how the limbs and head go

Actually we learn all our life but it's so rewarding when you see the progress yourself I agree as much as I love I hate drawing them 3:

Heheh. Yes. Even when you "get there" you want to push yourself to go further and do better than before.
And this reminds me of something I've been want to do for a long time: a comparison of the first picture I uploaded on the net and my most recent style/drawing techniques. -should do that sometime soon-

The anatomy is more than great! But I was just wondering, if you could use a bit more shading? Well, the joints can't be in the same color as the rest of the fun etc... Sorry for this, but it's just a friendly advice... But it really is great!

Thanks No problem I like it when someone give me advice It helps me get better I did some shading though but it was pretty light and the scanner hated even that XD Thanks again

Oh... Well, don't be. Just look at your drawing and [if you can] correct the mistake... I try to do so too. I always have too many mistakes...

Usually it's too late but I can still shade but the lineart cannot be corrected But it's great lo leave the mistakes sometimes it's a reminder for the next pictures I don't have that many mistakes usually(not that I'd notice XD) but when I get one it won't go away DX Most of the times I manage to correct it in the best way possible

Good for you! I usually don't like my works at all... Never. 2 that I actually like a bit are Samson and Request - Liva-Martins . That Manca pic I did is ok too, but I see too many mistakes actually...

Mine neve approved of me drawing either but she mostly ignores me anyway All this stuff about mums really reminds me of a writer we were talking about in our Slovene class this year. I think his name's Kafka or something...nevermind...he loved art in every way but one afternoon when he went out with his dad an dmum they passed an orchestra playing and dad said that artists are parasites of the society I think our mums have about the same opininon.
