Is he some kind of priest/monk? I guess I see love as his object of reason/thought/inspection rather than a direct source of pleasure/bliss/commitment, and this makes me like it even more. I mean, when I was younger I had a cousin that was a philosopher and a priest, and this drawing reminds me so much of him, in a very good way. We used to spend whole afternoons talking about his studies, about dead gods, sanity and insanity, about reason and faith, and those dialogues are some of my dearest childhood memories.
