Sena is a chameleon among dogs. Always singing a different tune or wearing a different face, she's learned to adapt to her situation, whatever it may be. Having lived by herself for so long, she's used to doing things on her own and finding creative solutions to problems she couldn't otherwise face herself. Though betrayal has shaped her to be a bitter and slightly cynical canine, Sena maintains an otherwise courteous and charming attitude - even if it isn't entirely sincere. Dealing with her own emotions is far more exhausting than putting up a mask.

Sena projects an outer confidence of everything she wishes, and sometimes needs, to be; aloof, smooth, graceful, and even a bit off putting. She approaches situations with a realistic, pragmatic view, knowing she isn't strong, so Sena utilizes instead her tongue and brain. Manipulation, wit, and persuasion are all one in the same to her. A perfectionist at heart, Sena won't let something go if the result isn't satisfying. If things don't go according to the plan in her head, she can get easily overwhelmed. Worst case scenarios are always on her mind, making her come off as a bit of a worry wart.

A plush life of carpet-side fire places isn't destined for every dog. Unfortunately for Sena, fate decided that family life wasn't for her. Born to a local breeder, the Borzoi and her brother Leo were adopted as newborn pups into a quaint, domestic life. She didn't remember much of her parents, having been taken away a little too soon than a pup normally should. The thought never bothered her much.

Home life with her human family was a blur. Money was scarce, and in an attempt to help his family, her owner's son Enzo fell into the wrong sort of crowd. Through various criminal activities he was able to put food on their table - his parents none the wiser. It wasn't until one sloppy job when the police were hot on his heels. In a desperate attempt for refuge, Enzo confronted his parents and laid his sins bare on the table. In return, he earned their unforgiving wrath. It had been a huge ordeal, coupled with screaming and arguing that ultimately ended with the boy's swift departure. Taking the two dogs with him, Enzo retreated into hiding, doing his best to care for himself and his two canine companions.

A life rank with desperation lead the trio to resort to other ways to survive. Upon discovering an underground dog racing ring, Enzo managed to wrestle in Leo and Sena as contestants after signing a six-month contract and depositing an entry fee for the pair. Thus, the siblings new life began - a life of fierce competition and rivalry that in the end would drive a stake between the patchy family.

Long legged and with a penchant for swiftness, Sena was a natural. Though she wasn't always a winner, it was enough to force the Borzoi's brother into a pit of jealousy. The male sibling found he wasn't suited to the lawless and vicious race-life that his sister had easily adapted to - and it was obvious that Enzo began to play favorites with his new money maker.

Drugs, stimulants, and the like were common place in the underground - so it was only a matter of time before Leo was introduced to the chemicals by their owner in the hopes he'd perform better. Sena saw how the substances warped her brother into someone she no longer recognized. His life was all about the race now, his bones jutting out in disturbing angles from his thin pelt, and in his eyes was a glazed over look of pure hate.
When Sena realized the source of her Brother's changes were the drugs being pumped through his veins, blinding white rage swallowed her up. At the heart of it was concern for her Brother's health, but somewhere in the back of the female's mind was a small whisper of hurt pride. She enjoyed her status as one of the underground's leading racers, and Leo trying to rob her of that made her feel... indignant. So with a cauldron of conflicted feelings, Sena found Leo's stash and destroyed it without a beat of hesitation.

The rift this caused between the siblings was nearly tangible. Leo was furious and percieved his sister's actions as a declaration of war. No longer was he her sister - instead, she was his rival. Where they once used to work together on the racing field, Leo was merciless and often did things to sabotage her. Though all of their actions were mostly harmless, each one was another crack in their relationship. Though Sena knew she should respond maturely, she retaliated in the same petty manner, feeling justified in her anger.

These tensions came to a peak during a race where Sena and Leo were neck-to-neck in the lead. The frothing of his lips and the look in his eyes was enough to tell her that he'd found another source of substances, but the Borzoi had long since shoved those worries from her mind. All that mattered was winning now.

And then she felt it - the teeth wrapping around her neck and all of sudden violently tumbling into the gravel, thrown to the ground. Leo's form wavered above hers only for a moment, a cold whisper tumbling out his muzzle before disappearing to finish the race. Horrified, betrayed, and disgusted all at once, Sena left that night without so much as a goodbye. Slipping off into the night, the Borzoi wandered until fate placed her at Canidale, where a new life awaited.
