sordid-dessert and I painted this year's Herald of Journeys together, and let me tell you I was so excited throughout this whole process >u< Collabing with one of my longest running inspirations is always a huge rush for me <3 ILU KHEL BBY.

Like clockwork, on the final day of the darkest season on Eyre, a blessing from an eldritch lord is bestowed on one of its citizens to welcome the coming of a new year. This new year is welcomed by a blessing from the Umbral Wanderer, with a message:

"Seek out the hidden wonders of the universe.
Find exultation in discovery and exploration.
Journey forth unfaltering, fair traveler."

And thus, the Herald of Journeys is born.

Herald: This Elnin has received a blessing from a greater spiritkin lord, and has attained the rank of Herald of Journeys. (Presently this is only significant because Heralds are the only type of elnin that have the single primary horn trait, but more information about the Heralds is forthcoming!)
Single primary horn: Even among royal elnins, this trait would be found beautiful, since royals still have two primary horns, and manifest the single horn through illusion only.
Visible mana filaments Something that I haven't touched on in much depth, is the fact that elnin hair is composed of threads of mana filament. This elnin's hair shows sections that are phasing through various densities, giving it an ethereal, shimmering appearance. Most of the time, this visual effect only happens when an elnin is consciously changing the length of their hair and is not a sustainable effect. This elnin, however, is able to maintain this state of flux indefinitely, which is an uncommon ability.
Temu Familiar: Like pomus, temus are elemental spirits. Whereas pomus are shadow based, temus are aligned with the air element, and are most often found in the company of the sky-loving ieldi. Temus are recently becoming a more common sight outside of Ealei, and this elnin has managed to acquire one of the tiny fluffs. (More information about temus is coming very soon!)
Apprentice Pathfinder This elnin has studied with the Pathfinders, and has acquired apprenticeship in one of Eyre's most prestigious guilds. More information on specific skills will be available with profession/guild updates later on!
