Actually, Nala means 'Gift' in Swahili.
It's said here on this 'My Lion King' , webpage. (And no, it's not my own webpage, it's just titled as that.)

The two main translations to Nala that I've seen are Queen and Gift. I've researched it in other places than a lion king website (actual Swahili translation websites in fact.)
So I'm sticking to queen

I love Nala she's beautiful, you did an amazing job on her lol I also agree that I like her colors and appearance in the first movie rather then the second. I felt like they didn't give Nala enough screen time in the second movie and that they kind of down played her character in the second movie, I mean it like because she had a kid her usefulness in the movie was over so I wasn't a big fan of the second movie!!!
Anyway back to you amazing drawing, I love it! I think your extremely talented and I just love all the work your putting into each characters design and expressions, not to mention all the work you put into creating bios and relationships links between all the characters! I love your work and I cant wait to see what you come up with next lol
If you need any ideas I think it would be cool if you did a drawing of Kovu and maybe Sarabi and Mufasa. There's also Zira, Scar, Vitani, Sarafina and Nala's father or was scar her father as well? If you really felt like it there's also Sarabi's parents and I saw that you did a drawing for Sarafina's mother I'm kind of curious as to what Sarafina's father would look like lol
There's so many possibilities of what you could draw and just thinking about them all gets me all excited since knowing your skill from what I've already seen you'd make even more beautiful lions and lioness lol
