Description I did this for :

Illustration for a college project. The title of the book was called The Hauntings.

Used :

Photoshop 7.0
3 stock photos (the lounge, the boy, and the woman ghost was created from an image of a doll.)

This illustration was adapted straight from the story where a ghost was caught causing havoc at some poor person's house.
I like ghosts, stories of ghosts have always been there...which makes me think of that punchline (which has nothing to do with this by the way)
"Love is like a ghost, everyone talks about it but no one has seen."

This is awesome! for sure. I like the contrast between the cold grey of the left side of the piece with the warm yellow on the right.

i think maybe someone stole her house away...like just because she's dead doesn't mean she's not "alive" there....

This reminds me of a haunting I have been in from my childhood. I didn't see any ghosts, but I felt a sudden sharp chill and smelled a distnct scent. Hehe good times.

Makes me wanna see from Francis Bacon art and read ghost stories! XD

Ooh, I like this, what I particularly enjoy about this one is the lack of colour definition, basically, this whole thing is dark and gloomy, and it just seems like there is little actual colour present, which gives this image its 'key' element.

There isn't much of a comment that I can give, I like it all, for example, the lighting on the boy in the background, it just seems really very realistic, plus, of course, the not quite there image of the ghost also adds to the realism.

An excellent image, you get a from me

Thank you so mUCH!

I'm glad you like this piece and noticed the type of lighting I used. I did the lighting on the boy with airbrush only but I think it paid off so thanks for your support!

love,
Malicent
